We thought we would post a few referrals from people that were blessed with some of our puppies!!! If you would like personal referrals or if you would like to speak one on one with some of the owners just give us a call for their phone numbers.

I had the privilege of meeting the Starr’s about 2 years ago when I was working for their vet. I was very unfamiliar with the English Bulldog but as soon as I met one of theirs I wanted to learn all I could! I was fortunate enough to be present for 2 of their dogs c-sections. These were experiences I will never forget. I am now lucky enough to be owned by one of their puppies, named Chopper and was there for his birth. I have owned several different breeds in my life but am now hopelessly in love with the English Bulldog! Chopper and I go visit Bart & Laurie and Choppers mom along with the other Bulldogs. I remember the first time I visited the Starr’s house. I was so impressed with the set up, and the home they provide for the dogs. They have an actual nursery for the new puppies,(this nursery is honestly better than some nurseries I have seen for human babies) complete with cameras and monitors. Being in the animal business for the past 5 years, I have met quite a few different breeders. None however have provided the love and security that the Starr’s do. Their dogs are raised in their home, with all the love and attention that you could ever imagine. They do not breed for profit. I know what they end up paying out by the time the puppies are born. (Artificial insemination, x-rays, blood tests, c-section just to mention a few.) And the price they charge for their puppies, in no way even comes close to a ’profit’. They truly love the breed and only breed for health, quality and temperament The day my Chopper was ready to come home, the Starr‘s brought him to me at work. Even though they knew he was going to be loved beyond belief at his new home, they still both cried when they left. To me that was a sign of an awesome breeder. Would I ever get another Starr Bulldog? Absolutely in a heartbeat! Thank you, Bart & Laurie, for the time and energy you have put into these dogs. If I had more room we would have another Bulldog.

When buying a puppy, you will want to deal with a breeder who is honest, knowledgeable and experienced.  The Starr’s certainly fit this description.  The bonus is that the Starrs are absolutely passionate about Bulldogs and take great pride in their puppies.   Laurie, Bart and their children spend a lot of time with their dogs and the puppies.  Visit their web site and you'll see so many pictures of the fun they have with their dogs.

Two weeks after our puppy (Tinkerbell) was born we were able to visit the Starr’s to meet our puppy, her mom and littermates.  They even have a special "nursery" for the puppies!  The Starr’s are so warm and welcoming, and their enthusiasm is contagious! We had such a great time and knew immediately we had made the right decision.  We continued to visit every week thereafter!  Sometimes another family would be there, and we all sat around enjoying the puppies and sharing stories.  Our visits became the highlight of our weeks!   In between visits we'd check the web site, because Laurie always posted new pictures of the puppies and how much they weighed.

The day we picked up our Tinkerbell to bring her home was a bittersweet day.  Although we were very excited to be bringing her home, it was hard to say goodbye to the Starr’s and also hard for them to see our puppy go.  They put so much of their hearts into caring for the puppies!  Laurie gave us a basket filled with all the things we needed to get started with Tinkerbell including a cuddly pink blanket that Laurie made for Tinkerbell.  There were lots of toys and favorite treats, along with a photo album and book about Bulldogs and puppy care.  Since we brought Tinkerbell home Laurie has been available to answer all of our questions. 

This has been the best experience -- not only are we delighted with our puppy but we have also made friends that love Bulldogs as much as we do.

Laurie and Bart are wonderful breeders.  After we decided to adopt Lola, they opened up their home for us to come and visit her as much as we would like until she was ready to come home with us. They take such good care of the babies until it's time for you to take yours home.  Laurie has always been available to talk with me about any concerns I had after taking Lola home.  Evertime I call she gives me great advice for whatever problem or question I have.  When we do decide to adopt another puppy, Laurie and Bart are our only choice.  They are great people who truely care about the puppies, how they do, and where they end up.  Laurie and Bart are selective about who adopts the puppies, but once you have yours you'll understand.  These puppies are so special you will end up treating them as if they are your own children.  We are so blessed to have Lola as a part of our family.  Since the day we adopted her, our lives have changed and definately for the better. She has such a playful personality and loves to be the center of attention.  So if you're not ready to give a lot of your time to your new puppy, maybe English Bulldogs are not for you.   Don't get me wrong, they are not difficult to care for.  Although Lola loves our attention, she is an easy going, laid back puppy.  She will sit out on our deck for hours just enjoying the warmth of the sun.  We can't imagine our lives without our baby.  If you are lucky enough to adopt a baby English Bulldog, especially from Laurie and Bart, you will see how easy going, playful, and loving your puppy is and how much joy he or she will bring to your life.

Hello Starr Family!

I just wanted to thank you for doing such a great job with getting the puppies ready to go to their new families. You are all such great people and really love these animals and they are showing how loved and how well they were brought up so far. We are greatful. Brady is so wonderful we all just love him so much and he seems to really love his new home here. Of course us spoiling him rotten probably helps. He has such a great personality, so loving and really a good listener. He has slept with Don and I every night so far, right in the middle. Don and I and of course Brady love every bit of it. He has done such a great job already with potty training. We are really impressed. Last night he was only up twice...yeh! Again, we will keep in touch...but thank you for the great job you have done. All my friends and family are jealous and are considering calling you for your next litter! We all want bulldogs so they can all have play mates....look what you've started.
